I know that there’s a lot of excellent charities out there but this one has become a massive part of my families life. 

My mum was recently diagnosed with both dementia and Alzheimer’s, one of cruelest diseases I’ve ever come across. Watching the decline in a loved one especially your mum, is heartbreaking and knowing that one day she might not recognise me or my children fills me with dread.  Not to mention the every day tasks that we take for granted, making a drink, showering, turning the tv over, dementia strips you of this trapping you in your own mind with only your memories until they begin to disappear.
