Relay For Life Plymouth 2025 · 26 July 2025 ·
As a family we have supported this worthy cause for 10 years. Dave and I along with Grandchildren have taken part in many fundraising activities over the years in memory of our parents, family members, close friends and work colleagues who have either passed away from cancer or who are survivors following the successful treatment. Our fundraising activities have included face to face and online tabletop sales, raffles, baking, competitions, Grandma Runs, sponsored skipping, photo competitions, walks and of course the annual 24 hour Relay .
We are proud to belong to Team Soul Sisters, a great group of people hanging from 2 years upwards. The children known as Minis enjoy the activities often raising money from cookery, reading books, bake sales at school and many more, even the family pets have been involved .
Why not read about how CRUK use the monies ?raised
Relay For Life celebrates the power of community fundraising to make breakthroughs happen. Across the UK and the globe, teams of friends, families and colleagues fundraise for world-leading research to save and improve lives, then unite as a community at an event to honour everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the progress we’re making. .
How does the money you raise power progress?
- £65 could buy special restriction enzymes. These act like molecular scissors to cut long strands of DNA, allowing our scientists to find out more about the genes that can cause cancer.
- £220 could fund our team of nine cancer nurses for one hour. Our nurse helpline offers confidential support and guidance to people affected by cancer.
When you fundraise for Relay For Life, you’re helping fund research and make discoveries. You’re helping bring about a world where everybody can live longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
Together we are beating cancer.
Thank you for your support.
