Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our team's JustGiving page. Penny Stratford, Vicky Wauchope, Linda Runciman and Jemma Wood are four committee members of BCC (Borders Children's Charity) who have totally lost the plot and decided to take on the Mighty Stride (21 mile route) of the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise awareness of our charity's work as well as raise funds so the charity can continue to support local children. Any donation you can make will make a difference to children living in adverse conditions in the Scottish Borders.
This is our charity's story...
We are the Borders Children's Charity.
We have been supporting children in the Scottish Borders for over 50 years.
Our work eases financial hardship, increases inclusion and improves resilience by enabling opportunities that focus on improving well-being and quality of life, building self-confidence and advancing education.
We welcome donations of all shapes and sizes from businesses and individuals and support funding requests from a range of health, social care and education professionals.
As we are entirely run by a committee of unpaid local volunteers nearly all of the money we receive goes directly to the projects and individual children we support.
Local people supporting local children in the Scottish Borders.
Thank you, your support will make every step matter and worthwhile!
