Er cof am ein Mam garedig a dewr, Linda Roberts, a fu farw ar 23 Ionawr 2023 ar ôl salwch byr iawn.
Pan yn 60 mlwydd oed, cafodd ddiagnosis ar gyfer yr anawsterau symudedd roedd hi wedi’u profi ers blynyddoedd - Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2i. Ar ôl blynyddoedd o feddygon yn diystyru ei phryderon a phroblemau, cafodd gefnogaeth a chymorth arbenigwyr yn Ysbyty Gobowen. Ni wnaeth diagnosis wanhau ei hannibyniaeth a phenderfynoldeb ac ni fyddai Linda wedi hoffi cael ei diffinio gan ei chyflwr. Roedd hi’n ddewr ac yn gryf ond roedd bywyd yn fwy anodd iddi nag y dylai wedi bod. Mae’r elusen MDUK yn chwilio am iachad ar gyfer y cyflwr creulon ac anghyffredin oedd ganddi ers ei phlentyndod, ac sy’n rhedeg mewn teuluoedd.

In memory of our kind and brave Mam, Linda Roberts, who passed away on 23 January 2023 following a very short illness.
When she was 60 years old, she received a diagnosis for her mobility difficulties, which she had experienced for many years – Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2i. After many years of doctors ignoring her concerns and problems, she received help and support from experts at Gobowen Hospital. A diagnosis didn’t affect her independence and determination and Linda would not want to be defined by her condition. She was brave and strong but life was more difficult for her than it should have been. The MDUK charity are looking for a cure for this cruel and rare hereditary condition, which Linda had from birth
