Story
I've been very fortunate to of taken care of a range of animals throughout my years, so I would consider myself to be a lover of animals. I saw an opportunity to become a 150 Hero and decided to go for it and do my part to support the RSPCA Derby.
Unfortunately there has been an increase in surrendered / abandoned animals, especially since the pandemic restrictions have been lifted. Alot of people who had time to take care of their pets can no longer do so.
RSPCA Derby can house 24 dogs, 41 cats, 15 rabbits and lots of small mammals. The staff dedicate their time to providing each animal with the very best care and love, and rely heavily on donations and fundraising to give the animals the best care they can.
I am hoping to raise £150 to help them purchase new and replacement items to make their centre an enriching haven for abandoned, neglected, and abused animals. To do this I will be taking 100,000 steps in one week ( I will be doing a range of activities and recording my progress and sharing this with you all ) Any support will be greatly appreciated, donations, sharing the link or telling your friends.
I am hoping to make this dream come true for the centre and the animals who desperately need our help.
