I never thought I'd be able to run a half marathon, yet after lots of practice, porridge and beetroot juice, I think I'm ready to run a whole marathon! It's on 7th August, the nice flat Thames Meander, from Kingston to Hammersmith and back - and I'll have 6.5 hours to complete it.

Since we (me, Michelle and Matt in the UK - with Ali and Bacar in Guinea Bissau) started Action Guinea Bissau last October, we've raised over £20,000 and run many successful projects (education, environmental, construction, food and microcredit) - have a look at our Project Gallery here:

We have many more plans: helping bring electricity / solar panels to some villages, rebuilding more schools and wells, starting small school gardens, running more awareness-raising sessions on gender and environmental issues .... please help us continue our work in one of the poorest countries of the world.
