Story
In our team, we have all lost someone or know someone who has been affected by cancer. So we are doing this in their memory, and also to celebrate the people we know and love who have kicked cancers ass and are now in remission.
Our team name is in memory of Emma's beautiful mum Mary, who sadly lost her battle with breast cancer aged only 44, and now that Emma is in her early 40s, we realise just how young she actually was.
Oor Ally lost her lovely Grandad Pete Wallace, when he was 70yrs old from a secondary cancer. Pete was always the life and soul and loved his bowling with Ally's Gran
Linda has lost her Gran - Phemie and Grandad Harry to different types of cancers, but is also relieved that her mum Janet and sister in law Lynn are both in remission after suffering from breast cancer.
Lisa has lost her Uncle Brian and Uncle Jimmy, brothers who sadly lost their fight with cancer just 6 months apart. Both a big part of the family who are very sadly missed.
Lynn lost her Grandmother Nesta. She was a bubbly woman who raised 12 kids and who's door was always open and her house was always full.
