In January 2019 I was diagnosed with triple positive, invasive lobular carcinoma - an aggressive & indiscriminate disease, that without treatment would take my life.

I embarked on a treatment pathway, that I am still working through today, albeit now it is preventative.  Active treatment and surgeries took just under 2 years.

On one of my toughest days, coming home from the hospital, feeling physically and emotionally worn, I saw a mobile Macmillan centre & instinctively stepped inside - burst into tears & let them pick me up & hold my hand! 

They were there for me at a very dark time.
