I am attempting to do the Isle of Wight challenge, 106ks in 24 hours around the island following the rocky steep coastal path. In the past I have lost my dad and my mum, both to cancer Recently my beloved handsome brother lost his fight against this dreadful disease after a two year battle, he tried everything in his power to beat it, but unfortunately it got the better of him in the end, no one could of fought any harder than Mike did so I am very proud of him, he has left behind a beautiful wife and three gorgeous children, as well as an extended family and many friends, who all loved him dearly.He was one of life's character's. Mike loved the Isle of Wight, so it just seemed so appropriate to try and do this challenge, he always said I should go there. I have never done anything like this in my life, I am trying to do training but its quite difficult as I am in the African bush with the heatwaves and predators galore, my head says I can do it ,to raise valuable funds to help this worthy cause of cancer research, (I just hope my body doesn't let me down !!!......) every penny really does count so I will ask each and every one of you who knows me, Mike, or any of his beautiful family to dig deep in your pockets and sponsor me per kilometer or make a donation to hopefully help us get a little bit closer to becoming a cancer free nation.
