Story

I have created this fundraising page to raise vital funds for The Jess Mackie Memorial Fund, which supports the work of Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity, providing support and comfort through therapeutic music, at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

'Walk 18 for Jess' is in memory of my beautiful niece Jess who was passionate about singing and was part of the National Youth Choir of Scotland.  She was a caring and compassionate girl who always sought to help others.  At only 14 she had a sense of how music could help people when they were in need.  Jess passed away in January 2018 and would have turned 18 next month.  The 18 mile walk on 25 September is to raise funds for her charity.  Joining me from Inverfarigaig to Torbreck are my good friends, Anne MacLaren, Elizabeth Christie and Fiona MacLeod.

Anything you can donate would be gratefully appreciated by all of us and by the charity.
