Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Just over a year ago our world changed forever, cancer took another of its victims .... our beloved, youngest daughter Fiona. At just 33, she was too young to die. Fi loved life and lived it to the full. Nothing gave her more happiness then when on the waves, kiting high with her husband Rob. A happy, smiling face is what reminds us of Fi. Her hugs were pretty amazing too and I miss those so much. Newly married to Rob, a much loved sister to Vic and Auntie to Issy, Sophie and Beth, she is missing the best of life. And we miss her.
No one would have thought that cancer would strike one so young and vibrant. I must also mention my dear friend Jane, in her third year of fighting ovarian cancer. A very brave, courageous lady. Remembering too, an ex-work colleague and friend Sally, fighting breast cancer and just starting chemo.
Cancer is not selective, it is not ageist, but it is secretive, creeping up when you least expect it. We need more screening, more research.
