In December John Lewis shared their Christmas advert with Action for Children and I still haven’t stopped thinking about it. 

As someone who was adopted, it's got me thinking of the 20+ years of Christmas celebrations I've been fortunate enough to have with a family that love me, in a warm and safe home.

Action for Children help to provide children and young people with practical and emotional care and support, when they need it the most.

I could write forever about the work Action for Children do, but here are some highlights:

• 248 Foster Homes across the UK
• One of England’s first adoption agencies
• Help families prevent and reverse the affects of child neglect
• Aid young carers looking after parents or family members
• Assist families with disabled children
• Host programmes to assist children with poor mental health
• Assist with health visitor visits, speech therapy and access to midwives

That being said, I've decided to do Manchester Marathon on 16th April 2023 in honour of Action for Children so any donations would be massively appreciated.
