Story
Hello everyone :) I have decided to run the VHI mini marathon this year on the 4th June to raise money for the national maternity hospital where I got such great care from the brilliant midwives when having both my girls 💕
I also chose to fundraise for the NMH in loving memory of Rosie Dempsey - myself and Aine Dempsey (Rosie's mum) are running as part of the NMH team !
Aine has wrote a little bit about her time in the NMH and I would like to share that with you to give a little background for this great cause
_'I am taking part in the VHI mini marathon this June to raise funds for The National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street. It's a cause very close to my heart - Our twin girls were born in NMH in December 2021 at 28 weeks gestation after a very complicated pregnancy. Our beautiful Rosie fought so hard to stay with us, but passed away aged 20 days. She was treated with such love and care by the NICU team during her short life and we are so grateful for everything they did for her. 🌹_
_Her little sister Lucy spent 3 long and difficult months under the care of the amazing NICU staff before coming home to us. She is now an amazing, clever, busy, funny, healthy 18 month old and we are in awe of her every single day. ✨ We are eternally thankful for the life-saving care she received in NMH and to the fantastic nurses and doctors who became our second family during her NICU stay._
_I want to raise funds for this very special hospital, especially in memory of our little angel Rosie, to ensure that other special babies can receive the same fantastic care and help as our two little girls. '_
*Any support would be hugely appreciated - thank you in advance !*
🌹💛
