Story
Will Binks did the coast to coast challenge in aid of Will (see story below). So please contribute here to support him.
People at North Tyneside Council are also organising a quiz (24th August) raffles, selling off domino cards and "happiness bags", and doing a tombola to support Will and raise money for the same cause.
And I will swim a mile in Loch Lomond faster than the mile I swam in Windermere.
This is why:
My amazing brother-in-law Will was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in October 2016. The care and support he and our family have received in The Christie has been world class. This is one of the ways we would like to thank them and give back.
The whole hospital is amazing, but special thanks go to the Palatine Ward - Haematology and Young Oncology. All of the money raised will go direct to the ward that Will has already spent months on. This facility is funded by The Christie in partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust and Clic Sargent.
When cancer strikes young lives the damage goes way beyond the health and wellbeing of the young person. The ward Will has been on has delivered world class healthcare from our outstanding NHS, but it is all of the extras that require charitable funding. These 'extras' are often the key elements to keeping the patient and the whole family positive in extremely difficult times.
So does your donation actually make a difference to Will Clark and others like him? Too right it does! Please share my just giving page and keep the money rolling in.
