Story

Hello All

As I'm always telling people to walk it and not just talk it I thought I had better take some of my own advice.  So, I have signed up for the Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk taking place in Godstone, Surrey on Sunday September 16.

Many of you will know that my own mother suffered from dementia for a number of years and following her death I was personally compelled to try and bring about positive change for those with dementia, their families and friends.

Since her death I have been a media volunteer and campaigner for the Alzheimer's Society. I am only a small pebble but if I can add other pebbles to my efforts then collectively we can make a ripple which can turn into larger ripples when more pebbles are added.

So please join me, donate whatever funds you can, no matter the amount and let's see how big a ripple we can create.  If anyone would like to join me on the walk, your company would be much enjoyed.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
