Story
Ian passed away on 3rd July in the Hospice in the Weald (Pembury) surrounded by his three "girls", myself and our daughters, Lucy-Jane and Charmian. He was a much loved husband, father, grandad, and brother. He suffered from COPD a lung condition which left him always gasping for breath and meant he was mostly house-bound for the last 3 years.
In former years, Ian was a busy man volunteering for the Kent Golf junior section and playing competitive golf. He loved nothing better than to come home with a trophy!
Ian was well known in Westerham town for being "front of house" in the Tudor Rose Tea Rooms, always joking and making the customers welcome. Behind the scenes he became an excellent helping hand in the kitchen and often made trays of the very best fruit scones!
The love and support that has been shown to our family from his many friends has been truly wonderful and we have been comforted by all your messages and tributes.
If you would like to leave a donation in memory of Ian for the Hospice in the Weald, it would be greatly appreciated and I know he would be thrilled too, that in some small way we helped the charity that helped us.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
With Love,
Linda
