Hi,

I'm Tom.  A year ago I was diagnosed with terminal cancer in an advanced stage.  The news came completely out of the blue and was a devastating blow. Macmillan Cancer Support provide the specialist nursing support to me and many people like me who have to come to terms with having terminal cancer.

Team Hendrie is my amazing wife Emma and a group of our friends who would like to raise £5000 as they run the Lincoln Half Marathon on 1st October. It had been my intention to run too, but I must listen to my body - which tells me it's not ready yet. So I will be walking the 13.1 miles the week before the Team run with my pals in the Yorkshire Dales.

I have been able to accept that life doesn't stop just because you've been diagnosed with cancer. I'm a dad, a husband, a son and a friend and I remain all those things. I cherish every moment with my wonderful family and friends. Thank you to all of you who have supported us during this last year. 

Please dig deep and get behind Team Hendrie in helping us reach the target. Life with cancer is still life.
