Story

As a Team we’re aiming to raise at least £25,000 for the NSPCC/Childline, but would ideally like to smash through £50,000! That’s a big ask, so please dig deep, in the full knowledge that you’re helping make a difference to young people’s lives in the UK.Childline is part of the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) which is the UK’s leading children’s charity, dedicated to ending child abuse and neglect. The charity has been making a difference to children’s lives for over 130 years. Much of that is down to its campaigns, services, volunteers and of course its supporters. So, all the members of our Team want to run the London Marathon in 2023, because we believe that every childhood is worth fighting for.The money raised goes towards some remarkable things – £4 would pay for a child to speak to Childline.£25 would pay for an NSPCC helpline counsellor to give an hour's support to an adult who's worried about a child.£112 would pay for a face-to-face counselling session for a young person in care, helping them to overcome the problems they've faced.£500 would pay for life-changing therapy to help a child recover from abuse and rebuild their life.https://www.nspcc.org.uk/keeping-children-safe/our-services/childline/On behalf of childline champs, and the NSPCC/Childline, thank you!

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.
