Lily Scudder is raising money for Stroke Association
In memory of Grandma (Ann Beddow) And Grandpa (Mike Scudder)
Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Just after Christmas we decided to run a half marathon in aid of Stroke Association as it is a charity close to our hearts.

We have decided to run it in memory of our Grandma (Ann) who had a stroke in 2009 and sadly passed away in September 2015. Things have unexpectedly changed after our Grandpa (Mike) also had a stroke on Sunday 31.01.21 and sadly passed away on Saturday 06.02.21. So we are now also running in his memory.

We want to do our part in raising money for such an amazing charity that can help other families like ours and promoting awareness. Both our Grandma and Grandpa had a huge impact on ours and our families lives and we love and miss them both dearly.

Due to the lockdown in March we started running. After never running a 5k before we have enjoyed running and now want to challenge ourselves by running a half marathon for Stroke Association on April 11th. Thank you for taking the time to read our page and anything you would be able to donate would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Lily and Charlie Scudder.
