Story
6 years ago I swam 22 miles in 12 weeks for people with spinal cord injury. This year I decided to take the challenge on once again.
The reason I chose to do this challenge then and now is to help people like my dad. When my dad was 21 he sustained a spinal cord injury in a tobogganing accident that altered his life forever. 11 years later he married my mum and 2 years after that I was born. Therefore, to me spinal cord injury is just a part of everyday life.
Every 4 hours a person in the UK is newly injured with spinal cord injury. I want to help these newly injured people to gain confidence in living independently, in embracing their personal challenges. So, by completing the Aspire channel swim for the second time I hope I can help to aid as many people as I can.
If you can donate what you can that would much appreciated. Thank you.
