Story
Lily-Rose who is 10 years old wanted to do something to raise money for the hospital whilst we are on lock down.
Choosing what to do was difficult as her brother Oliver who is 6 years old had received the letter to say he was higher risk so isn't able to leave the house or garden for 12 weeks.
Lily-Rose wanted to do a bike ride, so we were able to make a little stand for Oliver's bike so he can ride it in the garden without having to go anywhere. They are going to cycle for at least half an hour between them each day during lock down as this was easier than trying to work out a distance. Oliver has had previous admissions to Ipswich Hospital due to his asthma and the care he received each time was outstanding. This is our way of saying thank you.
The Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity raises money to improve facilities, fund new equipment, provide additional services, support staff development and initiate local medical research and innovative projects at The East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. We always ensure that your kind gifts and donations benefit the area of the hospital or community service that you choose.
