Story
1 in 5 of us will have a lung condition during our lifetime and there's a new diagnosis every minute. There are 136 million women worldwide with asthma who are having more severe symptoms and are more likely to die from their asthma.
I’ve always had asthma and luckily it has had a minimal impact on my life. That was until October 2020, when I caught Covid-19 and my asthma significantly worsened. As someone who'd always been very active, it was a shock to suddenly be struggling to breathe during normal everyday activities. The one thing that really helped me get my symptoms under control again was running. I started off just trying to run 3k. That then tuned into 5k..10k..then a half marathon, and now..
I'm running The London Marathon 2023 for Asthma + Lung UK, my greatest challenge yet! Asthma + Lung UK are the only UK charity that fights for everyones right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
I'd be very, very grateful for any donations you could make!💜🧡
