Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
So...I am walking the length of the Thames between Oxford and London - all 105 miles of it! I am aiming to take 4 days starting on May 20th 2014. I intend to carry everything I need with me and camp along the way. If you happen to be walking the Thames around this time watch out for my bright orange T-shirt and give me a smile!
This is in aid of Myeloma UK. I am sure many of you are thinking Myelo-what? I did too until 3 years ago my partner's Grandad was diagnosed with Myeloma, which is a blood cancer. There is no known cure and the average life expectancy is 2-5 years following diagnosis. Many of the high profile cancer charities receive a lot of fundraising which is fantastic. However, rarer forms of cancer do not have the same level of awareness which is vital for early diagnosis and treatments. Your donation would allow Myeloma UK to continue with its world class genetic research program whilst providing support to patients, family and friends.
