Lily's The Big Cut

Lily Hirst is raising money for Little Princess Trust

The Big Cut · 5 September 2021

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

This Saturday (11.09.21) Lily has made the brave decision to have all her hair chopped off and will be donating it to the Little Princess Trust. Lily has wanted a short pixie cut for several years now, but we’ve always fought against the idea, wanting her to keep her long gorgeous hair. Lily passionately presented her case, stating “Short hair isn’t just for boys, if it’s good enough for P!nk (the singer), then it’s good enough for me! It’s only hair and if I don’t like it, it will grow back!” We’re so proud of her confidence…. Confidence in herself and having the confidence to be her own person and not to be like everyone else! What makes it even more special is how passionate Lily is about donating her hair and wanting it to be turned into a wig for a child who has lost their own hair due to cancer or other illnesses. It costs roughly £550 for hair to be turned into a wig. It’s here we ask for you to help make Lily’s dream come true and donate whatever you can, to this amazing cause and support Lily.

Thank you so much for all your support
