We support children through tennis to improve physical & mental wellbeing.

Story

For 30 days I’ll be training like a pro tennis athlete.

I want to see how my body and technique is able to improve over this short period of time, pushing it to the limits. By the end of the month, the goal is to play a match against the toughest opponent that I can find in the island of Fuerteventura! Bonus: I will play the match in a fancy dress if we go over the fundraising target!

I’m kicking off this challenge on Monday 5th April 2021 and expecting roughly 4 to 5 hours daily training.  It will be a mix of 1 to 2 hours training off-court and 2 to 3 hours on court. So we are talking up to 5 hours of training each day, 5-6 times a week. You can track my progress on my website www.likeachallenge.com

I’m aware. It’s a lot. But the name of the challenge is 'training like a PRO'. It wouldn’t be a challenge otherwise!

While I'm doing that, please support the amazing charity 'Give it Your Max' and help get more kids playing tennis.

Thank you so much for all the donations, every little bit helps :)

We work with disadvantaged, disabled and vulnerable young people aged 4-18 across the UK. Our tennis programmes are designed to enhance the lives of these children, many of whom haven’t had the opportunity to play tennis before. By offering free sessions in school and community settings, we help to break down potential barriers to participation, such as financial limitations or lack of opportunity. We use tennis to tackle socio-economic issues, including poor mental health, low self-esteem, high levels of inactivity, crime/anti-social behaviour and low aspirations.
