Story

Last year's Lift Me Up weightlifting event was an incredible success with over £13,000 being raised for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. There was some amazing lifting, some banging tunes and crazy facepainting. It was so good that the event is back again for 2022!

The background to this event is that in the run up to the Tokyo Olympic Games, Emily's Mum (Celia Godley) was diagnosed with MND and passed away 11 months later. MND is a fatal and rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord - it leaves people locked into a failing body, where they are unable to move, talk, swallow and eventually breathe.

By donating to this event, you are playing a vital part in raising funds for the MNDA who are undertaking as much research as possible to help fight against this awful illness.

One day, together, we WILL find a cure.
