Over the past 6 months AMC have been on site at the new Royal Liverpool Hospital replacing the existing glazing supplied and fitted by another contractor. Due to the ongoing work we continue to provide for our local hospital, AMC thought it would be fitting to perform a gesture of thanks to all our NHS heroes for the work they are doing across the Liverpool City Region during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

In time for Valentine’s Day, on Thursday February 11 our #LiftingTheLove campaign launched. Our engineer, Andy Worrall, lovingly crafted a giant red heart (2.5m x 2.5m) from sheet metal, before the heart was hoisted almost 10 metres into the beautiful blue skies at our Liverpool depot.

Lifted by Mark and Julie, our C6c and MC285e, the heart is an expression of thanks and acknowledgement to our NHS staff while marking the opening of our JustGiving page created to raise donations for our local hospitals through the R Charity. 

#LiftingTheLove is a small way to say thank you and show appreciation and admiration for all our NHS heroes, lift our spirits and spread some love.

All donations raised by AMC and received by R Charity will go towards vital psychological and well-being support to all staff including psychologists, well-being packs, shower and changing rooms, well-being rooms and many other forms of support our NHS staff may require during this extremely difficult time.  

For patients, donations will provide psychological support and help to fund toiletries, pyjamas, and iPads to combat feelings of loneliness and isolation while providing entertainment and a regular way to keep in touch with their loved ones while visitation is limited.
