Story
At a young age, the darkness swallowed me up.
I felt alone. I felt I couldn't speak to anyone. My mum was battling breast cancer. My sister suffered a stroke. My nan passed away. I didn't want to take the attention away from them, as I didn't want to feel like a burden.
I'm #FightingFor everyone who are struggling.
After 12 years, I opened up about my mental health struggles. I quickly became aware of the importance of having people around you who'll listen and will help you to share your story.
Lifting 100,000kg in a day helps me to share how sport and exercise helped me to feel included. Sport and exercise supported me to find the person I am today, and that person is John Sennett.
John Sennett helps others with their journey's and my mission is to be a source of light for those surrounded my darkness.
The fundraiser will take place at Pure Gym Southampton (Bitterne) on April 25th from 6am to 9pm, and will see me lift 100,000kg over the course of the day.
The attempt is also being supported by British Weighlifting.
