Throat Cancer and other head & neck cancers tend to get overlooked when it comes to fundraising.
Nearly 12000 new cases are diagnosed every year and 2 people a day die from this dreadful disease. Although its got a good cure rate, its known as the hardest cancer to treat because of the sensitivity of the neck and oral areas, treatment in most cases leaves patients with side effects and facial disfigurement. Because the survival rate is good, quality of life is poor for many years to come for many
The members at the Life & Sole fitness studio in Forres, moray are teaming up together to take part in the gruelling Loch Ness Beast Race along with fellow member Jeff Bradford who is in remission from Throat Cancer thanks to the fantastic efforts of the NHS at the Aberdeen ARI Maxiofacial department
The Throat Cancer foundation itself have pioneered and succeeded in getting boys vaccinated against the HPV virus which is now a big cause of these cancers. It is currently only available for girls to prevent Cervical cancers
Please donate any amount no matter how small to help the team achieve their Goal...it means a lot to the team at Life & Sole
