Story

Hello all,

My marathon story doesn't start usually. Unfortunately when I applied for a marathon place in the ballot; I didn't get a place. A few months later, while I was at work an opportunity came through from the London Marathon Charitable Trust. They were offering 40 places (for the 40th LM Anniversary) for people who work for charities and non-for profits. We had one day left to put in an application and I added in my name on a whim.

Amazingly (and somewhat worryingly) I got a place; oh my goodness. I am really not a runner, I am not even athletic in any sense of the word and never have been. This is, without doubt, the biggest challenge I have ever done in my whole life and your support on this journey means the world to me.

As an employee of Saint Francis Hospice, I know how difficult it has been over the last 18 months and I am so keen to raise money so they can continue the wonderful work they do, for people in the most difficult time of their life.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you so much for reading, I am so so grateful for your support.

Bring on October 3rd.
