Help us to BREAK THE CYCLE of Isolation and Poverty in our Community

At Liberty Tea Rooms and Community Hub, we are hearing increasing accounts of people struggling with life. Poor mental health, relationship breakdowns and lack of food are becoming commonplace for many in our community, especially during the cost of living crisis. The effects of Isolation and Poverty are 24/7 - loss of sleep is a very real problem which can lead to physical, emotional and health issues.

We refuse to just sit back and allow people to quietly suffer in silence. We want to GO THE DISTANCE for people in our community. We want to make some noise to raise awareness about these issues AND raise funds, to enable us to ...

"Stand up and speak up. Give voice to the voiceless.

Feed the hungry. Bring hope to those in need"

Starting at Midday on Saturday 4th February, Owen and Colin will be GOING THE DISTANCE and cycling for 24 HOURS - WITH NO SLEEP! Using static Spinning Bikes at Liberty Tea Rooms in Bank Court, Hemel Hempstead, they aim to cycle the equivalent distance from Hemel Hempstead to Edinburgh - to BREAK THE CYCLE of isolation and Poverty in our Community

With YOUR HELP we really can make a very real difference in people's lives. People like *Joanna (name changed)...

I was in a very dark and desperate place. I had lost my home, my business, everything.

Life just felt so very hard and I wasn't sure I could go on. I was really struggling and desperately needed help, but was too worn down to ask. However, I came across the work of Liberty Tea Rooms and Community Hub and everything changed! They really looked after  me. I was given self worth, value and purpose and found some great friendships. With their help and encouragement I was put in touch with some of their amazing Partnership agencies and received the help I needed. I have been rehomed and have been able to rebuild my life again. I have found hope!

Please donate to this very worthwhile charity - without them I wouldn't be here.

We were thrilled to help *Joanna and to see her life turned around. Her story, however, is not unique and we know that there are many who feel just as isolated and alone as she once was.

Please donate whatever you can to help us.

If you think that your donation is just a 'little drop in the ocean', then remember - the ocean is made up of many, many little drops!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
