Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Our little superhero Darius passed away on the 20th of March 2016 just two weeks after his 2nd birthday. Although Darius remains undiagnosed, doctors believe Darius' underlying condition was a rare genetic disorder called Mitochondrial disease. Despite never getting a diagnosis the Glasgow Children's Hospital provided the best care possible. We are fundraising to show our appreciation for the care they provided for Darius.
We have set up the Darius Najafian Memorial Fund within the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, which means all the money raised in memory of Darius will go straight into his fund. The money raised will go towards projects within the hospital that we feel will make a real difference to the lives of many children. We are hopeful that some of the money raised will go towards the set up and running of a rare diseases office, which will provide much needed support to children and families living with the uncertainty of a rare disease.
Please sponsor as much or as little as you can, as every penny makes a difference to the lives of sick children all over the country.
Thank you for your continued support,
Team Darius xxx
