We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

I will be virtually tracking a trek from Land's End to John O'Groats. Meaning that my walking and running throughout the day will be tracked, and any distance covered will be added to a virtual map, tracking my progress along a hypothetical trip between the two locations.

For example, on my first day if I walk 2 miles to a local shop, the distance will be entered onto the virtual map and i will move 2 miles away from Land's End and along the track to John O'Groats.

The route I have planned is 980 miles (or to put that into Steps, 2,299,172 steps)

To this point I have lead a fairly sedentary life, Working an office job, driving to and from work, enjoying my spare time with Movies and games. This challenge should not only help raise money for a good cause, but keep me accountable for improving my own fitness and motivate me to get out and move more.

All money raised will go towards fighting Alzheimer's Disease, which took my Gran several years ago. It is a truly ruthless condition that stripped her of her memories and her self sufficiency, making the last few years of her life scary and lonely. Alzheimer's currently has no cure and takes the dignity of thousands of people, effecting countless lives along the way.

Please support in any way you can. This will be a big lifestyle change for me but one I am motivated to complete in order to help fight Alzhiemer's
