Remembering Dad

We have set up this just giving page to try and raise funds to donate to Weston Park cancer centre, where dad had his 5 week radiotherapy treatments in 2019.
Two and a half years ago dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer and unfortunately on Sunday the 31st January 2021, he passed away peacefully with his family around him. Anyone who knows dad will know he never felt sorry about his conditions and he never gave up on his positive attitude! He truly believed his positivity would keep him going, Weston park helped this!
We are all deeply saddened by what’s happened, and this our way of marking his memory with something positive that helped so much.
He visited Weston park on numerous occasions, helping to prolong his time with us all. This place made him feel comfortable and at ease with the whole process and giving him the extra strength he needed to help fight the cancer. The doctors, and in fact all the staff at Weston gave dad the support he and Tracey needed to move forward on a daily basis.
He always spoke so fondly about the doctors and advise they gave, which he followed to the letter (anyone who knows dad will know he’s never followed advice or a rule in his life).
When you see the care that is given and the time, care and dedication these people show, it makes you want to give something back to the people that truly helped dad and others like him. We are very sure this is what dad would want, and we would love to make a donation in his memory!
We are asking that people donate to this page instead of towards flowers etc, it would mean the world to us and help others get the same level of care that dad received.
Please don’t feel any pressure to donate, times are difficult in many ways at the moment, but anything you can afford will make a huge difference!!
The show must go on, help this happen!!
