Thank you for taking time to visit my Just Giving page. Last year my sister was diagnosed with Breast cancer and is currently going through chemotherapy. 

As the thought of even trying to run for a bus makes me sick that ruled out doing any sort of marathon so I have decided to go and climb mountains as a way to fundraise  vital money for Cancer Research.

The Challenge

In July 2023 I have signed up to do the National 3 peaks challenge which is climbing the highest peak in Scotland, England and Wales in 24hours. I will start at 8am on Saturday morning at the foot of Ben Nevis and hopefully finish at the foot of Snowdon around 8am the following morning. 

The 3 peaks are 

1.   Ben Nevis - Scotland - 1345m
2.   Scafell pike - England - 978m
3.    Snowdon - Wales - 1085m

Over all the journey will include around

• 23miles (37km) of hiking
  
• 462 miles (743km) of driving 
• 3400m (10,052ft) of ascent

I think the worst part of this challenge for someone my size will probably be the mini bus journey between peaks one of which is over 6hours.
