The route takes in the truly iconic landmarks of our capital and has a great charity feel to it with exciting cheer stations throughout.

Story

I have never run a half marathon, in fact I have never run anywhere near 13.2 miles in my life, but whats this distance in comparison to how much a guide dog can change a life.

In the UK today, almost two million people are living with sight loss and of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone. Many suffer from depression and struggle with feelings of isolation. A Guide Dog can help to solve this problem,  and change lives.

Living with Phoebe (my black Labrador) I know the unconditional love, emotional support, motivation and companionship she gives me. She already sponsors a guide dog puppy, so it's my turn to do my bit and raise as much money as I can for the Guide Dogs. The challenge I am putting myself through is no comparison to the challenge faced by anyone living with sight loss. Lets make lives better and raise money for the Guide Dogs.

NB: If I cannot convince you to donate - just look at the picture above, she will!

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
