I am raising funds for Action Against Hunger, a global charity working towards a world without hunger. It saves the lives of malnourished children and helps people access clean water, food, training and healthcare.

I was inspired to raise money for this charity after attending a stunning Declan O'Rourke concert which showcased his acclaimed work, Chronicles of The Great Irish Famine. This tells stories from 170 years ago but what struck me intensely is that global hunger is still with us and any of the individual Irish stories are sadly happening in many parts of the world today.

I contacted Declan O'Rourke and amazingly he kindly agreed to perform his masterpiece in front of my family, friends and fellow music lovers at the RNCM in Manchester on October 14 2018. I'm hoping that those who attend will be equally moved and will donate to Action Against Hunger. Many thanks to Declan, his band, all at the RNCM and my best buddy Paul Carroll for helping me bring this event to fruition.
