Story

I'm running the 90km Comrades Ultra Marathon in South Africa from Pietermaritzburg to Durban as a farewell to long-distance running. It's something I always wanted to do before I dropped down to middle distance stuff below 20 miles. I wasn't going to do it for charity but then I realised my mum and dad have been in and out of the Royal Marsden for the past 6 years and I thought it's my last proper long distance run; I could do it for the hospital. Went in today (10/08/22), as it was my day off and they both had appointments for various procedures and was treated with respect by the expert staff there. I really appreciate what they have done for my parents. I know times are tough but if you have anything to spare, it would be much appreciated. Hope to meet for a few pints when I get back. Liam
