Story

After 64 long years of marriage and six short months apart, my Grandma and Grandad sadly passed away this year.

In loving memory of them both, we will be tackling Mount Kinabalu on the 10th and 11th September.

Standing at 4,095 meters, Kinabalu is the tallest peak in South East Asia and it’ll take us two days to climb to the top.

All funds raised will be going to Springhill Hospice, as a token of thanks to the nurses and staff who went that extra mile to provide our grandparents with the comfort and dignity they deserved. Unfortunately there wasn’t a cure for either, but what was most important was the surroundings in which they lay to rest.

That’s why we want to give something back. If we can help to make an ounce of difference to improve the quality of life to other people's Grandmas, Grandads, Mums, Dads, Sons or Daughters in their final days, then that would be job done for us.

So go on…spare us a fiver for Alan and Elaine!
