Story
So I’ve finally made the commitment and decided that 2023 will be the year that I run a full marathon
As this might be the only marathon I ever run, I’ve decided to raise money on behalf of the British Heart Foundation in memory of my Grandad. My Grandad had a triple heart bypass in 2001 and unfortunately passed away in 2009. There’s a real possibility that I would have never even remembered him due to how young I was at the time of his heart attack, but because of the wonderful work of the BHF I got to spend 8 more invaluable years with him.
If you’re able to donate to support myself and towards this cause I will forever grateful
On a personal note, I started running in January 2021 because I was out of shape and struggling with my mental health. I’d like to say running has completely changed my life, but that would be a lie. I’m less fat and still struggle with my mental health at times, but running has definitely helped improve both.
It was about a year ago that I knew I wanted to run a full marathon and if I don’t do one now, I might never do one. So here’s to the next 15 weeks of hard work and to crossing the finish line on 16th April.
