Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Anyone that knows me will tell you that I’m not the most active of people 😂😂 when I was asked to do the Bridgwater 10k to support an amazing friend and charity how could I say no.

Here is Charlottes story

Albie was born absolutely perfect at 34 weeks; the only difference between him and my other two children was that Albie was sleeping. I'd never see what colour his eyes are, I'd never hear his cry, I'd never hear his voice, or see his first steps. I would never feel his warm skin against mine, or know what it would feel like for him to grip my finger whilst feeding. I'd never know if he would have liked pureed carrots, or swimming or whether he'd talk early like his big brother or late like his sister. Would he grow up to be car mad like Joe or be obsessed with animals like Maisie? These are all basic things that we have been denied, because Albie wasn't just sleeping. My beautiful 5lb 12oz, 46cm little boy would never feel the breeze against his face or sleep in his nursery - he was gone before I even had him.

Our lives will never be the same. Joe and Maisie expected their mum to come home with a baby - not a box of casts and prints and the date for a funeral. I will never forget Maisie's cries as Albie's forever bed was lowered into the ground - how could this be happening to us? Why us? Why anyone?

I would not be "surviving" this harrowing detour that my life has taken without the support of Towards Tomorrow Together. It is my responsibility as Albie's mummy to keep his legacy alive and help as many other parents who are on this same, torturous journey.

Please join us in our efforts to raise as much as possible to help mums, dads, brothers and sisters, who will always have a huge hole in their hearts.
