Story

IMPORTANT:

This will now be taking place on Saturday 30th October 2021 !!!

The 2021 recruits are undertaking a Tri Sport Challenge covering a distance of the circumference of the county TWICE! That is a minimum of 330 miles! They will be running, cycling and canoeing from Kibworth, Oakham and Loughborough fire stations meeting in Leicester City Centre, where they will be joining their colleagues who will be hosting all day at the Clock Tower. The expected arrival of the teams will be from 1pm, but everyone is welcome all day.

This is in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity who exist to support the mental health, physical and social needs of serving and retired members of the UK’s Fire Family. In what has been an unprecedented and challenging year, charities such as this struggle with the lack of fundraising from the cancellation of multiple events due to the effects of COVID-19.
