Story
2021 is dedicated to raising funds and awareness to the Transplant Unit at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. This year will mark 23 years since Lexie received her last Liver Transplant and 27 years since her 1st Liver Transplant at the tender age of 8!
Addenbrookes Hospital and the brilliant staff have got Lexie through some of the biggest challenges of her life! What better way to celebrate good health, her donors and Addenbrookes Hospital than to tackle our biggest challenge to date;
Originally planned as a multiple events challenge for 2020 (scuppered by the global pandemic), Lexie's husband Gary has decided to join in and help fundraise by joining his wife at the Race to the Stones as well as taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon in October.
Currently our year of events looks like this;
RunFestRun - 10km - Gary (Saturday 28th August)
RunFestRun - Half Marathon - Lexie (Sunday 29th August)
Race to the Stones Weekender - 100km/62.1 miles (10th/11th July) Husband & Wife shall be tackling this UltraMarathon event together covering 100km over 2 days. This will be the furthest distance we have ever tackled on foot!
Brighton Marathon - 26.2 miles - Lexie (Sunday 12th September)
Cambridge Half Marathon - 13.1 miles - Gary (Sunday 17th October)
Loch Ness Marathon - 26.2 miles - Lexie (Sunday 3rd October)
Lexie wants to thank those of you that sponsored her last year for many of these events. Thank you so much for your continued support and encouragement and please continue to give generously to support the Transplant Unit at Addenbrookes Hospital.
