Story
I volunteer with Glasgow Street Aid. If you’ve not encountered us, we’re a charity which provides medical cover in Central Glasgow on Friday and Saturday nights, dealing with incidents ranging from assaults, to overdoses, to seizures, to mental health crises. We work closely with blue light partners, and we’re all volunteers.
Crucially, we’re also funded by charitable donations. Everything from radios, to vests, to supplies comes from the kindness and generosity of others.
This is where you come in. At the end of April, some fantastic colleagues and I are going to do the Kiltwalk, from Glasgow Green to Balloch. 23mi in total, with the chance of some lovely Scottish weather.
Finally, because I like to make things a little bit interesting, I’m planning to do it with the approximate weight of an MRX machine in my rucksack, alongside my usual kit.
And if anyone has a Sinclair kilt going spare for a day, let me know. ATM, I’m kiltless.
