Story
On Saturday 22 September, the Lewis Silkin team will be leaving their comfortable office surroundings across the UK to embark on a military endurance challenge which no amount of legal training can prepare them for....
The LEWIS SILKIN SAS CHALLENGE 2018
The team will be undertaking a challenge which is notorious in the military and known as the "Fan Dance". This involves trekking a mountain route at pace over the summit of the highest peak in south Wales, Pen y Fan in Brecon Beacons National Park, and entails trekking a total distance of 24km with a total ascent of 1360m!
This has to be successfully completed by every SAS aspirant as part of the selection process and is a “demanding test of physical and mental robustness”...just another day in the office then?!
The challenge itself will take place bright and early on Saturday 22 September. This week coincides with World Alzheimer’s Day on Friday 21st September.
All of this is to help raise funds for Alzheimer's Research UK (ARUK), the UK's leading charity aiming to defeat dementia. ARUK are the firm's nominated charity for all fundraising and this will be a significant event in our ongoing commitment to raising money for ARUK.
All donations will be greatly appreciated. Please dig deep and support the team to conquer this challenge!
The brave participants taking part in the challenge will be:
Cristiana Barone, Russell Brimelow, Fiona Davies, James Davies, Corey Edwards, Rebecca Emery, Simon Entwistle, Jo Farmer, Georgina Fraser, Ludivine Gegaden, Len Goodrich, Matt Greybrook, Jonathan Griffiths, Daniel Hawkins, Tom Heys, Alan Hunt, Sean Illing, Sophie Jamieson, Ian Jeffery, Emma Langhorn, Lucy Lewis, Anthony Leyden, David Lyons, Sam Minshall, Richard Moore, Ailsa Morris, Roberta Pasemko, Sam Pennington, Hannah Price, Haron Sahak, Lily-Rose Scargill, Wayne Schofield, Carolyn Soakell, Lauren Stone, Jeremy Summers, Jackie Watts, Elyssia White, Owen Williams and Graeme Wood.
