Story
The sick children's trust is a charity very close to my heart, as if it hadn’t of been for this wonderful charity we would not have been able to be close to our baby boy when he needed us the most!
Hudson was born in December 2019, but unfortunately he was born with HIE (Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy). He was rushed straight to the neonatal intensive care unit at Addenbrookes in Cambridge.
There he undertook the cooling treatment and care from the wonderful staff of the Rosie Hospital. During his two week stay in NICU, myself and my wife were also looked after not only by the wonderful staff but also the sick childrens trust, who enabled us to be close to Hudson when he needed us the most.
This incredible charity gives families a safe place to stay, to be near to their very sick children, when they all need each other the most. For most families this is a lifeline.
We will be forever grateful for what they did for our family, and if running the marathon and raising as much money as possible is a small way of showing our appreciation, then that's what i wanted to do.
Please donate whatever you can, it will be truly appreciated, not just by me but, all those families that need it the most.
Thank You
Lewi
