#TeamSIA will be taking on the London Marathon to raise vital funds for the Spinal Injuries Association.

Story

We are joining #TEAMSIA and running the 2022 London marathon to raise money for the Spinal injury association.

There are around 50,000 people in the UK living with a spinal cord injury, with approximately 2500 people sustaining or acquiring a spinal cord injury every year- that is equivalent to someone sustaining a spinal cord injury every 8 hours.

Lewis works with patients who have suffered from spinal cord injuries on a daily basis as a specialist Physiotherapist on the major trauma ward at royal Preston hospital. He has seen the devastating effects that spinal injuries have on patients and their families. Anna has also witnessed a spinal injury firsthand when her dad was diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome in 2019. We want to raise money to support people who go through life changing spinal cord injuries.

The SIA are a charity who support people living with a spinal cord injury. The SIA can offer specialist advice to these patients and their families at a time that no one could possibly ever be prepared for.

Your donation will help the SIA to continue to support these families. How your donation can help:

£200 helps provide support to hospitals for a day

£50 could help provide a healthcare professional to attend a spinal study day

£10 can help ensure a SCI person gets the appropriate care package

This marathon will be a huge challenge for us!!! Please please donate as little or as much as you can for this wonderful charity.

Thank you for your support
