Story
This is the third in a series of unique endurance challenges I have personally taken on for The Foundation. Headwest will see myself and an inspiring team of men and women attempt to cover 300km over 8 days as we trek through jungle, cycle across mountains and raft along the rapids to cross Costa-Rica from the east to west
coast.
Ever since I heard the horrifying fact that Brain Tumours are THE biggest cancer killer of children and adults, I have strived to push myself to my physical limits to raise funds to support the award winning HeadSmart campaign. Sadly I have met too many people whose lives have been cut short by this devastating disease and it's remembering these people and the lives of others that could be saved in the future that drives me forward.
The challenge will see myself and the team face extreme changing weather conditions and altitudes of over 2,300ms, pushing the team to our limits. But we know this is nothing compared to the challenges families have to deal with on a daily basis when they are faced with the devastating diagnosis of a brain tumour.
Thank you in advance for your support!
