Story
We are The Lewis Moody Foundation team and will be taking on the 70km swim along the length of Lake Geneva on 13 & 14 August.
Together Sarah, Cat, Faye, Chess, Debbie and Vivienne, will be taking on this epic challenge alongside two other teams, all helping to beat brain tumours sooner (see the team page for details of the other teams). The swim will/should take us approximately 30 hours to complete together, swimming during the day and night - we won't quite!!
With your support,The Lewis Moody Foundation will continue it's work, in collaboration with the Brain Tumour Charity, to support and improve lives of those impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis. They do this through funding support services and research projects run by The Brain Tumour Charity.
The areas and activities funded include:
- Peadiatric research into brain tumours
- In person family days for both adults and children living with a diagnosis and finding support from peers and shared experience
- Production and distribution of support resources
- Young Ambassador Programme to empower champions with lived experience lobby for change, fundraiser and generally raise awareness.
- Mapping of paediatric pathways to inform and enable a more consistent standard of care for children diagnosed with a brain tumour.
We're excited to be a part of raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of brain tumours with your help. Please donate what you can!
Thank you - together we can #TackleBrainTumours
