Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the 2018 London Marathon to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
In October 2016, I lost my brilliant Grandad to Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and I still miss him every day.
My Grandad was such an active man; watching him battle this devastating illness and seeing him gradually deteriorate was so hard for me and my family, but together we are determined to remember the good times and do all we can to try and stop more people from losing their lives in the same way.
MND gradually attacks a persons nerves leaving them unable to talk, walk, eat, drink and ultimately breath. Sufferers can experience pain and there is currently no cure. MNDA raises funds to help those living with the condition and provides equipment, medication and other vital means to make life that little bit easier. Hopefully one day enough money will be raised to help find a cure.
Running the London Marathon is going to be hard, but nothing compared to what my Grandad went through in his last few years. I believe the time is now for me to do this and hopefully make him proud.
I need to raise £2500 in total, with £1000 to be raised by the end of October. Please sponsor me and help me in my fight against MND.
